OTTAWA – On Thursday, June 2, 2022, Paul Beaudry, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, will speak before the Gatineau Chamber of Commerce.

The speech will be delivered by videoconference.


At 9:15 a.m. (ET), journalists are invited to review copies of the speech, under embargo, at the Bank’s head office in Ottawa. Please use the Bank of Canada Museum entrance, located at 30 Bank Street (corner of Bank and Wellington), and bring photo ID and proof of your fully vaccinated status.

For security reasons, journalists wishing to attend must confirm their attendance by contacting 613-782-8782 before noon (ET) on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. Those who have not registered will not be admitted to the closed session.

Please note that the closed session will take place in accordance with physical distancing and public health guidelines. Attendance will therefore be limited.

The embargo will be lifted at 10:45 a.m. (ET).

Media Availability

At approximately 12:15 p.m. (ET), the Deputy Governor will be available to answer questions from the media in the Bank of Canada auditorium.
