Trinamool’s Mahua Moitra tweeted a challenge to what she called ‘the heckler squad’

New Delhi:

Trinamool Congresswoman Mahua Moitra gave a glimpse of what is to come during her speech at Lok Sabha today.

She tweeted a challenge to what she called the “heckler squad” to prepare for her speech, a day after Congressman Rahul Gandhi tore the government apart on issues ranging from unemployment to foreign policy.

“I’m talking to Lok Sabha tonight about the president’s speech. I just wanted to warn the BJP to prepare the rowdy team and read the imaginary reminders. Drink a little gaumutra shots too,” Ms. Moitra tweeted.

Ms Moitra has often been seen fighting hard against social media trolls, who she says come from the stables of rival BJP, or what opposition parties call the “IT cell”.

The MP for Krishnanagar in West Bengal has indicated she will step up the offensive against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government which has been responding to Mr Gandhi’s attacks since yesterday’s parliamentary session.

Mr Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Modi government on foreign policy, accusing it of ‘bringing China and Pakistan closer together’, to which Foreign Minister S Jaishankar tweeted in a response that Mr Gandhi’s remarks Gandhi show that “some history lessons are in order”.

Yesterday, Ms Moitra’s colleague and MP Saugata Roy laid the groundwork for Trinamool’s battle formation for today. Mr. Roy accused the center of appointing governors who work at odds with state governments.

“Why did the center impose governors? In Tamil Nadu, there are complaints against a governor who disrespects ministers. In Maharashtra, there is a governor who disturbs the government of Maharashtra. We have found a governor who tweets every day,” Mr Ray said in the Lok Sabha.
