The following statement is attributed to Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby:

Yesterday the President authorized an additional $350 million in military aid from Department of Defense stockpiles, including anti-armour, small arms and various ammunition, body armor and related equipment to support the Ukrainian frontline defenders against Russia’s unprovoked attack.

This brings the total security assistance we’ve approved for Ukraine to $1 billion over the past year, and it’s the third time President Biden has accelerated security assistance for Ukraine. emergency for Ukraine’s defense in recent months using the Presidential Withdrawal Authority.

And, as I said before, the United States does not support Ukraine alone. Many other countries contribute to Ukraine’s ability to defend against this unprovoked Russian aggression. We, together with our allies and partners, stand united to continue accelerating security assistance to Ukraine and employ all available tools of security cooperation to support the people of Ukraine as they defend against this aggression.

Thus, our commitments and our deliveries continue as a sign of our unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
